7up Biscuits

Maybe you've heard of these before. I had, although we've never tried to make them. And biscuits made with soda is a bit strange. But we tried. And trust me, these are really, really, good!!
They're almost like buttermilk biscuits, with a touch of tangyness. (I don't think that's a word... but it's what they taste like!) And they are sooo light and fluffy. If you haven't made these before, I would recommend trying!

You need:
2 cups baking mix
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 7up soda
1/4 cup melted butter

1. Mix together the baking mix, sour cream, and 7up.
2. Pour half of the melted butter into a pan. The smaller pan you use, the less biscuits you'll get, but they'll be bigger!
3. Now, the original recipe said to pat out the dough to make them, but mine didn't work like that. So I just scooped the dough into the pan. However you do it, just get the dough in the pan! Then pour the rest of the butter over the top.

4. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.

5. Serve on a pretty plate!

I also saw that someone had garlic power sprinkled on the top of theirs. You could probably add some kind of spice to your biscuits as well, but put it on at step 3, after you've poured on the rest of the butter.
Have you made these before, or tried another recipe that seemed strange? How did it turn out?

These would make a great side dish with dinner, or just on their own, with butter and jam. Any way that you eat them, I hope that you enjoy!
