T-shirt Belt

Everyone needs a belt or two in their wardrobe. And when you make your own, you can choose the colors, the length, the design, and anything else! T-shirt belts are a very easy belt to make, and once you start, you might find yourself making them all of the time!
All that you'll need are a few old T-shirts. If you don't have any, you can always find some at a thrift store! Try to choose two that are similar in material just to make it simple.

First take some old T-shirts and cut off the hems. Then cut them into strips. Mine were about 1" by 22", or the length of the shirts.

Tie one of each color together, then twist! When you're done, tie the same color to the next strip. So for mine, I would tie the pink to the pink and then tie the blue ones together. Tie another knot with both of them to hold the whole thing in place. Then do it again! Keep twisting and tying until the belt is as long as you would like.

Slip it on and wear proudly! You may need to make a few adjustments, such as making the knots smaller so that they fit through your belt loops, or taking off a section or two. But once you've done one, you know what to do for the next. Try different colors or different lengths. Make one with a pattern, or try three strips instead of two. And don't forget to have fun!
