Double Olympic Bunting

In honor of the Olympics this summer, I decided to make a fun craft. This bunting was the perfect idea!

To make it, you need paper, markers, crayons, or pencils, and thread.

First, cut out five triangles.

Then trace the different colored rings onto each one.

String the thread through the top three. I used a needle to make it easier.

Cut another length of thread, but this time, tie it close to the first triangle.

Then string the last two triangles onto that thread. Tie the thread next to the third triangle on the top.

And you're done! It's now ready to be hung up where you can see it and cheer for the Olympics!

Indoor Hopscotch

Hopscotch is a great game to play outside, and so easy for dolls as well. But if it's raining, or simply too hot outside, bringing it inside is just as fun!

The bigger the paper, the better for doll's hopscotch.
Draw out the grid using chalk or crayons, find a small stone or button to use as a marker, and start playing!

It makes a fun prop for a photoshoot as well!

Do you have any fun indoor summer ideas? I'd love to hear about them!

Have fun playing, inside or out!

Black-eyed Susans

We were at the park yesterday, and I happened to bring the camera. And there were flowers. So I took pictures, mostly of black-eyed susans. So here they are!

I like the simpleness of the first two, but I like the close-ups as well.
Which ones are your favorite?

Taking pictures of flowers is a lot of fun, because you can really challenge yourself. They're not as difficult to photograph as other things because they don't move as much.
What do you like to take pictures of?
Happy Monday!

A Day in the Kitchen

Some days just seem to be meant for spending in the kitchen. And when you have one of those days, the best thing to do is bake!

And when you're done,

you get to,

Enjoy!

Happy 4th of July!

Our day will be spent with family and friends, swimming, eating funnel cakes, and simply visiting with each other. We thank God for the freedom that allows us to do this, and the country that we live in. What will you be doing today?
Happy 4th of July!

Peony Blossoms

Even though the peonies have stopped blooming a while ago, I thought that I'd post some pictures today. Enjoy!
