Doll-sized S'mores

One of the recipes in the new camping e-book is a s'more buffet. There's a real recipe for you, and a craft one for your dolls. But I thought that it would be fun to share a real one for your dolls too!

We found mini graham crackers at the store, and we also picked up mini marshmallows and chocolate bars.

The chocolate bars need to be broken in half to fit on the crackers.

Melt the marshmallows (in the microwave, on the stove or over a campfire. Just make sure an adult is with you!) and make the s'mores.

My dolls enjoyed their summer snack! Do you have a favorite summer recipe? Or maybe you've made a fun doll food lately out of something else. Whatever it is, we would love to hear about it! Leave a comment and let us know!

Enjoy your s'mores!!

P.S. Don't forget to enter the e-book giveaway!

Snowflake Pudding

To-do on the calender today is to make a sweet treat. So we made snowflake pudding!

It's a really easy treat to make, especially if you have pudding that's already made. But if you don't, pudding is a dessert that's quick to make!
We made ours with coconut milk, based of off the butterscotch pudding recipe from the cooking e-book. A few things were tweaked, but it turned out fine. Experimenting can be a lot of fun in the kitchen!

For the snowflakes, we cut plain tortillas into snowflakes with a cookie cutter. Then we fried them in a little butter, sprinkled them with cinnamon sugar, and they were ready!

This is a very quick and easy treat to make, and a lot of fun, too. But don't be afraid to mix things around a bit! Cut the tortillas into different shapes, or sprinkle them with different spices. Flavor the pudding in a new way, or throw in some add-ins, like chocolate chips, marshmallows, small candies, or crushed-up cookies. Try new things and have fun!

Enjoy!

Coconut Citrus Pudding

Homemade pudding is a really nice treat to make and have. Although it takes a little more work then boxed pudding, it is worth every effort!
Our latest try is coconut citrus pudding. It did come out a bit tarter then some liked, but with a few add-ins, it was a sweet treat for almost everyone!

You need:
2 cups coconut milk (We had light canned milk)
3 tbs flour
2 or 3 tbs cornstarch
1 cup sugar (or more, to taste)
3 eggs
1 cup citrus juice (or less, to taste)

1. Juice all of your fruit, then set aside.

2. Mix together the milk, flour, cornstarch, and sugar in a saucepan. Cook until everything is dissolved.
3. Beat the eggs in a bowl. Carefully pour half of the milk mixture into the eggs, then pour it all back into the pan. Add the juice.
4. Cook thoroughly until thick, then eat warm or place in the fridge to cool.

Yum!

We also added raspberry jam to the top of ours.

Or you can eat it for breakfast! With some yogurt and berries, it easily made a parfait.

Enjoy!

Picnic Eggs

Summer is here, and with it comes so many picnics, potlucks and chances to get together with friends. Picnic eggs (also known as deviled eggs,) are a classic for these, or any time that needs something special!

You need:
(for a dozen eggs)
6 hard-boiled eggs
about a 1/2 cup of mayonnaise
squirt of mustard
spices
paprika

1. Peel all of the eggs and carefully split them in half lengthwise. Gently pop out the yolks into a bowl.
2. Blend the yolks, mayonnaise, mustard, and spices until smooth.
3. Fill a plastic sandwich bag with the yolk mixture, then pipe into the empty eggs.
4. Sprinkle with paprika, then serve!
